Herniated Disc

by Brian Hwang, MD | 3 years ago

A herniated disc is also known as a slipped, ruptured, or bulging disc, and it usually occurs when a part of the soft content of the disc is forced through a weakened part of the disc capsule. This may put pressure on nearby nerves or the spinal cord, causing shooting pain, tingling, or weakness. Most disc herniation symptoms get better without surgery.
